Artists Run Chicago

This Sunday, May 10 the Hyde Park Art Center will open its
Artists Run Chicago show in Gallery 1.
Proximity and its related tentacles will participate in quite a few ways. First we asked our friend
Michael T Rea to bring over his Spacesuit for Steven Hawking to represent
Reuben Kincaid Artist Management. As part of the show
Proximity will be releasing issue 2 of our little broadside,
Pr, featuring an essay by Daniel Gunn about the history of alternative art spaces in Chicago since 1996.
Pr will also feature a nifty map produced by our buds at
Plural. And lastly our sister publications,
Lumpen,
Matériel, and the
(Con)Temporary Art Guide will be freely distributed from the a media cart designed by Mike Slattery. It's the one you may have noticed at our space, the
Co-Prosperity Sphere.
If you haven't yet picked a copy of the
GUIDE yet this will be your last chance to pick one up for free! See you on campus.. (edmar)
