July 10th, 6-10pm New CAD resident artist and co-founder of mfchicago, a music, video and street art collective, will exhibit a collection of his video work and still photographic captures derived from his VJ experience from 2004-2009. The show titled "Capturing Motion" will be held from 6-10 PM on Friday, July 10th at the Chicago Art Department. A VJ is a performance artist that manipulates video as an art form. Typically, VJ's mix video live and in conjunction with electronic music at clubs, festivals and "illegal" underground parties called "raves". Seth's VJ work combines video found in the public domain, samples of uncommon film footage and video he shoots of objects and subjects of interest.
