Both artists work with geometric motifs, highly conceptualised color schemes and dutiful attention to surface. Gerold Miller produced six new works for his exhibition at The Suburban. These shaped paintings are made from copper-plated aluminum. Ann Pibal’s project is comprised a selection of her abstract drawings. Ann Pibal has exhibited her paintings and drawings at many venues including PS1/MoMA, Max Protetch Gallery, De Pury and Luxembourg Gallery, Zurich, Jessica Murray Projects NYC, Paula Cooper Gallery, Bernard Toale Gallery, The Tang Museum, MASS MoCA, the Albright-Knox Art Museum, The Drawing Center and HallWalls. Pibal lives and works in Vermont and teaches at Bennington College. Gerold Miller has exhibited internationally at such venues as Galerie Ruzicska, Salzburg, Lang & Pult, Zurich, Rocket, London, Galerie Martina Detterer, Frankfurt, PS, Amsterdam, Nationalgalerie im Hamburger Banhoff, Galerie Anselm Dreher, Berlin, Daimler Collection, Berlin, CCNOA Brussels, Galerie Asbaeck, Copenhagen, Konsortium, Dusseldorf and Artspace, Sydney.
