Over the past 10 years Chicago-based artist Kiff Slemmons has been collaborating with Mexican artists at a papermaking facility outside of Oaxaca. Using local plants, fibers, and natural and synthetic dyes, Slemmons has worked with a group of artisans to design and develop a wide variety of contemporary paper jewelry presented here in installations and sculptural configurations.
