In December 2009, an electrical fire destroyed the Whale — home of Kenneth Morrison, Nat Ward, Michelle Faust, Mackie the Dog, Osso the Cat, four awesome chickens, and the Ever So Secret Order of the Lamprey. Everyone is a-OK, but there’s a ton of debt. So to speed the return to glory, we’re planning a USER-DIRECTED ART RAFFLE.

OFFICIAL DETAILS: For raffle tickets, donate in person that night, or online beforehand ($10 for 5; $5 for 2). Put your phone number (email address for web patrons) on your tickets, and insert tickets in the boxes next to the item(s) you want (art, objects, dates, services). You can also do this online. At midnight, a winner will be drawn from each box. If you must have a particular item, you can pay the “Buy It Now Price” (in person or online), pay cash, and the other tickets in the box will be voided. If a ticket lacks contact information, another will be drawn. All items are F.O.B. Skylark (meaning you have to take it home with you or get someone to pick it up it for you).
