Nomadic Studio Opens
Many artists work without fixed studio space, accommodating their artmaking or performance to available temporary sites. Nomadic Studio gives a home to this artistic practice, supporting four months of installation projects, radio broadcasts, live music, and other creative work. Visitors are invited to participate in programs, events, and artmaking. For more information and event schedule see www.stockyardinstitute.org.
This exhibition is organized by the Stockyard Institute and is part of Studio Chicago, a yearlong collaborative project that focuses on the artist’s studio. Through exhibitions, talks, publications, tours, and research, participating organizations will celebrate the working artist and reveal their sites of creative production from historical and contemporary perspectives.
