Firebelly University
Our buddies at Firebelly kick ass. Here is an announcement about their new school::
"Next Tuesday, September 6th, marks the beginning of Firebelly University. Our latest endeavor, Firebelly University (or FU for short), is a new entrepreneurial incubator program, teaching people with a social awareness and passion for design to make a more just society. Our first group of 5 fellows will learn how to turn their passions into careers, from starting their own design studios to building a social enterprise.
During the nine month program, Firebelly U do-gooders will run a design studio, doing real work for real clients. They'll also be learning first hand from community + industry leaders—asking the hard questions, building connections and gaining resources. Keep them in mind for your upcoming projects.
We want to continue to make the world a better place—getting more socially conscious businesses to take root across the city, state, country or world (dream big!) will make our communities healthier, stronger + more vibrant—while helping the students translate their passions into real, sustainable businesses.
We're excited to have Deborah Alden join the Firebelly Family as the Dean of FU!
